AI Research Lead - Pre-training (100% Remote)
About This Role
We're seeking a Pre-Training Lead to own and scale our pre-training efforts at the heart of our model development pipeline. You will drive technical direction for pre-training strategies and products, leading ambitious projects that advance open-source development and the global AI community.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead strategy and execution of all pre-training activities, including dataset building and pre-training experiments.
Build LLM and multimodal foundation models from scratch.
Design robust evaluation pipelines to measure model quality, performance, and user experience.
Work closely with researchers and engineers to translate cutting-edge pre-training ideas into production-ready methods.
Build and manage a team of engineers/researchers to scale pre-training infrastructure.
Collaborate across infrastructure, data, and product teams to ensure fast iteration cycles and smooth deployments.
