About This Role
Staking Facilities, a sustainable and independent leader in blockchain infrastructure since 2017, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer. This role is pivotal in guiding our next chapter, leading a multidisciplinary team, and significantly impacting the evolution of blockchain architecture.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and continuously evolve our infrastructure and technology strategy in collaboration with the leadership team.
Act as the senior technical voice in strategic decision-making.
Guide roadmap priorities across infrastructure, protocol integrations, and internal tooling.
Deep dive into validator operations, incident response, performance optimization, and monitoring.
Ensure high availability and integrity of our infrastructure, including business continuity oversight.
Represent Staking Facilities in protocol communities, partner conversations, and the broader Web3 ecosystem.
Mentor leads and engineers, providing architectural insights and technical guidance.
Support the emergence of a second business unit focused on a trading initiative leveraging blockspace access.
Champion quality, ownership, and continuous learning within the tech team.
What We're Looking For
Deep hands-on blockchain infrastructure experience.
A leader with imagination, capable of identifying opportunities to expand and diversify services.
Comfortable owning architecture decisions, challenging assumptions, and navigating ambiguity.
Ability to deep dive into technical details, from reading logs to debugging infrastructure and reviewing PRs.
Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams and respected for thought leadership.
Clear and collaborative communication style with a calm, no-ego approach.
Open to regular travel to Munich and representing Staking Facilities at conferences.
Not afraid to speak up when it matters.
Bonus Points
Familiarity with ecosystems like Ethereum, Solana, Sui, or Cosmos.
Ideas on how to creatively use access to blockspace.
