Quant Job Offer: Founding Engineer (Full-Stack) Execution Systems
About This Role
This is a high-impact, full-stack founding engineer role where you will own the entire trading execution layer. You'll work directly with the founder to deliver a low-latency, high-reliability system, driving the project from internal beta to a broader rollout.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the complete execution path, including order orchestration, risk rails (SL/TP, slippage buffers, retries/backoff), error codes, and incident playbooks.
Ship and scale the setup engine by integrating and optimizing strategy adapters, ensuring clear Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Deliver full-stack solutions using TypeScript/Node for REST APIs, Python for workers and REST APIs, React/Chrome extension for the UI, NextJs for frontend, and Postgres for data.
Ensure production reliability through comprehensive observability (logs/metrics/traces), alerting, rate-limits, feature flags, and kill-switch mechanisms.
Manage CI/CD and infrastructure, including containerization (Docker), automated tests/deploys, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), secure secrets management, staging/prod parity, and cost-aware cloud solutions.
Implement robust security and privacy measures for non-custodial flows, wallet interactions, and the principle of least privilege.
Collaborate on the roadmap for future integrations like a signal-provider marketplace and CEX integrations.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments.
Strong full-stack development skills with expertise in backend services, cloud infrastructure, and UI.
Experience with low-latency and high-reliability systems.
Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, React, Next.js, and Postgres.
Familiarity with AWS services (VPC, ECS, RDS), Docker, and IaC tools like Terraform/CDK.
Understanding of WebSockets/REST and Redis/queues.
Commitment to security and privacy best practices.
Bonus Points
Experience with trading or financial systems.
Knowledge of Hyperliquid APIs (HyperCore).
Experience with observability tools like Sentry, PostHog, or Grafana.
