About This Role
We are seeking an exceptional Quantitative Trader / Researcher to design, backtest, and optimize high-performance algorithmic trading strategies across dynamic crypto markets. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine a research-driven mindset with real-world trading instincts, driving sustainable alpha generation from concept to execution.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, implement, and optimize algorithmic/automated trading strategies, covering signal generation, execution, hedging, and risk management.
Conduct deep-dive research into market microstructure, asset/contract behavior, arbitrage opportunities, and hidden inefficiencies.
Work with large datasets for back-testing, parameter tuning, simulation, and post-trade analytics to drive continuous improvements.
Monitor live systems, analyze performance, tweak parameters, and collaborate with engineers to deploy enhancements.
Manage asset allocation across venues/exchanges, examining liquidity, slippage, and order-book dynamics.
Proactively propose novel ideas, challenge assumptions, and contribute alternative views within an open, meritocratic culture.
What We're Looking For
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with algorithmic trading systems.
Experience developing simple predictive models and utilizing Python and statistics for research and optimization.
Strong Python skills.
Knowledge of risk management, hedging, and arbitrage.
Ability to read and understand code.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
Excellent English skills.
Ability to work independently with an "owner mindset".
Willingness to work in a hybrid setup with on-site presence in Riga, Latvia.
