This is a rare opportunity to own the full settlement lifecycle of an institutional-grade Layer 1 network—not just contribute to it. You'll work at the intersection of consensus engineering, distributed systems, and real-world financial infrastructure, shaping how value moves across next-generation decentralized rails. What You'll Be Doing
Architect and maintain the end-to-end transaction lifecycle for an institutional blockchain network, from submission through finality
Design robust recovery and fault-tolerance mechanisms for settlement paths handling stablecoin, CBDC, and tokenized-asset flows
Build and operate core node infrastructure supporting consensus, transaction processing, and distributed ledger state
Collaborate cross-functionally with protocol researchers and infrastructure engineers to harden smart contracts and settlement logic
Diagnose and resolve complex distributed systems issues affecting network consensus and transaction integrity
Contribute to the evolution of settlement finality guarantees as the network scales toward institutional-grade throughput
What We're Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to blockchain protocol or distributed ledger development
Deep proficiency in Rust or Go, with a track record of building production-grade systems
Hands-on experience with consensus mechanisms, node infrastructure, and transaction finality in a blockchain or distributed systems context
Strong grasp of crypto-native payment rails, including stablecoins, CBDCs, or tokenized assets
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments typical of early-stage web3 infrastructure teams
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across engineering, research, and operations functions
Bonus Points
Experience with DeFi protocols or smart contract security
Prior work on L1/L2 settlement layers or payment-focused blockchain networks
Familiarity with regulatory or compliance considerations around digital asset settlement
Contributions to open-source blockchain or distributed systems projects
