About This Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Products team, you'll architect and ship the systems that deliver mission-critical data to smart contracts across the decentralized finance landscape. This is a rare opportunity to work on infrastructure that already underpins a massive share of DeFi activity, while helping extend that reach into tokenized assets, payments, and compliance-grade use cases. What You'll Be Doing
Design and build robust data pipelines that feed accurate, tamper-resistant information to smart contracts across multiple blockchain networks
Architect scalable backend services supporting Chainlink's oracle network and its expanding suite of data products
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, and protocol teams to translate complex market requirements into resilient distributed systems
Optimize data delivery mechanisms for latency, throughput, and correctness in high-stakes DeFi and institutional environments
Contribute to technical architecture decisions that influence how decentralized applications access real-world data
Mentor fellow engineers and champion best practices in distributed systems design
What We're Looking For
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with backend or distributed systems work
Strong proficiency in languages such as Go, Java, or similar, with a track record of building production-grade services
Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, or prior exposure to web3 technology stacks
Experience designing data-intensive systems at scale, including APIs, databases, and messaging infrastructure
Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment
A genuine curiosity about crypto, decentralized finance, and the future of onchain data
Bonus Points
Direct experience working with oracle networks, blockchain nodes, or smart contract development
Familiarity with DeFi protocols, tokenized assets, or institutional crypto infrastructure
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or distributed ledger technology
Background in financial data systems or capital markets technology
