Staff Move Engineer
About This Role
Aave Labs is seeking a Staff Move Engineer to contribute to our suite of innovative products like the Aave app, Lens, and Family. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of blockchain technology, focusing on smart contract development and engaging with a variety of blockchain systems.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing, crafting, and testing secure Move-based code
Participating in the development of protocol-level infrastructure and tools
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and functionality
Responding to security vulnerabilities, simulating scenarios, and evaluating strategies
Debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during the development process
Reviewing code written by other engineers to ensure it meets security and quality standards
Staying up-to-date with developments in the Web3 ecosystem and incorporating new technologies
Providing technical guidance, support, and mentoring to other engineers
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience with Rust and/or Move
Strong passion for Web3 technology and understanding of smart contract development
Understanding of DeFi concepts such as tokens, minting, lending/borrowing, financial pools, and staking
Experience with interacting with smart contracts in Solidity and other EVM-based networks
Bonus Points
Previous experience in writing smart contracts (EVM, non-EVM chains)
Profound understanding of contract architecture, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and design patterns
Previous experience with decentralized financial oracles
