About This Role

What You'll Be Doing
DeFi Demystifier: Take the inherently complex world of automated market makers, liquidity pools, and advanced portfolio strategies, and distill them into elegant, easy-to-understand user flows and interfaces. You'll be the expert in making the abstract tangible.
User Champion: Deeply understand the needs, pain points, and aspirations of our diverse user base, from seasoned DeFi degens to newcomers taking their first steps into crypto. Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform every design decision.
Concept to Creation: Lead the end-to-end design process, from initial user flows, wireframes, and mockups to high-fidelity prototypes and final UI designs. You'll not only envision the future but also bring it to life.
Strategic Collaborator: Work hand-in-hand with our Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams. You'll be a vital voice in shaping product strategy, ensuring design is integrated from the earliest stages of ideation.
Design System Architect: Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all Balancer products.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Identify and resolve usability issues proactively, iterating rapidly based on feedback and data. You thrive on tackling ambiguities and transforming them into elegant solutions.
DeFi Trendsetter: Stay at the bleeding edge of UX trends, blockchain innovation, and competitive landscapes to continually elevate Balancer's user experience.
Bonus Points
Experience designing for complex data-heavy applications or financial platforms.
Familiarity with Web3 wallets (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect).
Experience contributing to or managing design systems.
Front-end development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
