DeFi Risk Analyst
About This Role
As a DeFi Risk Analyst, you'll be instrumental in developing the data foundation that drives client decisions. You'll translate complex data into actionable insights, playing a crucial role in preventing crises and ensuring the stability of the DeFi ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing
Build and maintain SQL queries and Hex dashboards tailored for lending protocol risk analysis.
Author weekly "Risk Packs" including market signals, protocol vitals, insights, and recommendations for clients.
Conduct in-depth market analysis, asset research, and optimization studies with clear deliverables.
Act as a first responder for incidents, triaging alerts, extracting data, and communicating findings effectively.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of hands-on experience in DeFi, particularly with lending protocols (e.g., Aave, Compound, Morpho, Euler).
Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
Proven experience building dashboards (Dune, Hex, or similar) that communicate clear data stories.
Ability to translate vague requests into structured analysis with precise conclusions.
Excellent written communication skills for creating memos and reports trusted by non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points
Experience at a lending protocol, risk team, or DeFi analytics platform.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib).
Understanding of liquidation mechanics, oracle design, or DeFi risk models.
Track record of on-call or incident response experience.
Higher education in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics, CS).
