    About This Role

    Deloitte's Regulatory, Risk & Forensic practice is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Cyber & Cryptocurrency Forensics team, supporting high-stakes investigations at the intersection of digital assets, smart contracts, and regulatory compliance. You'll leverage advanced analytics, blockchain tracing tools, and forensic methodologies to help government and commercial clients uncover fraud, illicit transactions, and emerging threats within decentralized ecosystems.     What You'll Be Doing

    Conduct in-depth forensic investigations into cryptocurrency transactions, wallet activity, and blockchain-based fraud schemes

    Trace funds across distributed ledgers to identify money laundering, sanctions evasion, and other illicit crypto activity

    Analyze smart contracts and DeFi protocols for vulnerabilities exploited in financial crimes

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cyber analysts, legal counsel, and law enforcement liaisons

    Prepare clear, defensible reports and expert findings for regulatory and legal proceedings

    Stay current on evolving blockchain technologies, crypto regulations, and emerging distributed systems risks

    What We're Looking For

    Active security clearance (required)

    Demonstrated experience in cyber forensics, financial crimes investigation, or blockchain analytics

    Familiarity with cryptocurrency tracing tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or similar)

    Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, crypto wallets, and decentralized finance mechanisms

    Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills

    Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Finance, Computer Science, or related field

    Bonus Points

    Certifications such as CFE, CAMS, or blockchain-specific credentials

    Hands-on experience investigating smart contract exploits or DeFi hacks

    Prior work supporting federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies

    Familiarity with multiple distributed ledger protocols beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum
