What You'll Be Doing
Conduct in-depth blockchain forensic analysis to trace illicit crypto transactions across wallets, exchanges, and decentralized platforms
Perform open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to identify threat actors operating within crypto and DeFi ecosystems
Analyze smart contract activity and on-chain data to uncover patterns of fraud, money laundering, or cybercrime
Collaborate with IRS-CI agents to build evidence packages supporting criminal investigations and prosecutions
Prepare detailed technical reports translating complex blockchain data into actionable intelligence
Stay current on emerging distributed ledger technologies, privacy coins, and obfuscation techniques used by bad actors
What We're Looking For
Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required
Demonstrated experience in cryptocurrency tracing, blockchain analytics, or digital forensics
Strong understanding of distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and crypto asset movement
Proficiency with blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or similar platforms)
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills for presenting findings to law enforcement stakeholders
Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, mission-driven investigative environment
