About This Role
This is your chance to build real, production-grade software inside one of the most influential teams in decentralized finance. You'll be embedded in an engineering pod from day one, shipping code that millions of users interact with — not sitting through a generic onboarding track. As a core contributor to the infrastructure behind Unichain, our DeFi-native Ethereum Layer 2, you'll gain full-stack exposure across web, backend systems, infrastructure, and smart contracts.
What You'll Be Doing
Ship thoroughly tested, production-ready code across web apps, backend services, distributed infrastructure, and smart contracts
Pair daily with a dedicated senior engineer who's personally invested in your technical growth
Participate in real code review and feature ownership — not a sandboxed training simulation
Rotate across layers of the stack early on to discover where your strengths and interests align
Collaborate closely with your pod to build complete, end-to-end products rather than isolated components
Work in person at our NYC headquarters, immersed in a fast-moving blockchain engineering culture
What We're Looking For
A completed or in-progress Computer Science (or related) degree, graduating between December 2024 and September 2026
Demonstrated proof you build things — internships, side projects, open-source work, or hackathon wins, with links to GitHub, live apps, or write-ups
Rock-solid CS fundamentals and the ability to rapidly pick up new languages, frameworks, and distributed systems
Authentic curiosity about crypto, Web3, and decentralized technology — no prior blockchain experience necessary
Willingness to work from our New York office five days a week
Bonus Points
Any hands-on experience with crypto — smart contracts, trading bots, on-chain dashboards, or hackathon builds
Deep expertise in a specific toolset or language, rather than broad surface-level familiarity
Background in competitive programming, CTFs, academic research, or meaningful open-source contributions
