About This Role
We're searching for a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer ready to architect the next wave of financial products on distributed ledger technology. You'll operate at the intersection of large-scale cloud systems and cutting-edge web3 innovation, shaping how value moves across the decentralized internet while mentoring the engineers around you.
What You'll Be Doing
Craft robust, well-tested backend code and provide thoughtful code reviews that elevate team standards
Partner closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to transform requirements into shipped, production-grade products
Offer technical leadership on architectural decisions, balancing tradeoffs across smart contracts, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
Spearhead cross-pod strategic initiatives that shape engineering direction organization-wide
Build mission-critical systems from zero to one, establishing foundations for future DeFi products
Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence across the team
What We're Looking For
6+ years building production backend systems, with deep fluency in cloud architecture, algorithms, and debugging complex distributed systems
Proven ability to own projects end-to-end — from requirements gathering through design, testing, release, and operational monitoring
Experience designing and maintaining large-scale, high-availability systems in production cloud environments
Comfort building greenfield systems in a 0→1 capacity
Genuine curiosity about blockchain and web3 best practices, with a drive to evolve our tech stack
Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior engineering talent
Bonus Points
Prior experience as a Technical Lead
Background with time-series monitoring and observability tooling
Computer science degree, TypeScript expertise, or hands-on AWS experience
