Senior Legal Counsel
About This Role
This critical role puts you at the forefront of implementing KAIO's legal and compliance strategy, ensuring deal execution across diverse jurisdictions, and cementing KAIO's position as the most trusted RWA platform. You'll work closely with the CEO and Board to drive strategic legal initiatives in a dynamic and evolving industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and implement KAIO’s legal strategy in alignment with company objectives, product innovation, and global expansion.
Provide legal input and report directly to the KAIO CEO on all legal and related matters.
Maintain KAIO’s legal risk register and lead regulatory engagement across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., MAS, CIMA).
Monitor emerging legal frameworks in crypto, RWA tokenization, and financial services.
Manage licensing, filings, and entity structuring in collaboration with the operations team.
Support business development and partnerships with contract drafting and negotiation.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure compliance for new launches and campaigns.
Draft and maintain standard terms and conditions, privacy policies, and customer agreements.
Manage board governance, resolutions, and entity management.
Oversee employment law matters, including offers, severance, disputes, and contractor frameworks.
Review, protect, and enforce KAIO’s intellectual property rights.
Lead relationships with external counsel and advisors, managing fees effectively.
Maintain the legal operations system (contract lifecycle, document management, e-signature).
Implement playbooks, templates, and approval workflows to streamline internal legal processes.
Review and assess GDPR compliance and collaborate on data governance policies.
Manage open disputes and design crisis management plans in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Act as a visible role model for KAIO’s values, leadership behaviors, and high-performance standards.
Foster a learning culture, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote professional growth.
Represent KAIO externally, building trust and credibility.
Champion diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
Encourage open communication and collaboration across all organizational levels.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in legal strategy and risk management.
Expertise in governance, compliance, and regulatory affairs, especially across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong understanding of emerging legal frameworks in crypto, RWA tokenization, and financial services.
Experience in commercial and product counsel, including contract drafting and negotiation.
Knowledge of corporate, employment, and intellectual property law.
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with external counsel and handle legal operations.
Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Experience in litigation management and crisis planning.
Ability to act as a leader, foster a positive culture, and be an ambassador for the company.
