What You'll Be Doing
Architecting for Ascent: Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure that underpins the Avalanche blockchain. Think beyond the ordinary – we're pushing limits, and so should you.
The Automation Alchemist: Transform manual processes into elegant, self-healing, and fully automated pipelines. From CI/CD to infrastructure provisioning, you'll be the wizard turning tedious tasks into seamless workflows.
Performance Prowess: Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, ensuring Avalanche continues to deliver unparalleled speed and efficiency. You'll be the first responder and the proactive problem-solver.
Security Sentinel: Embed robust security practices throughout our infrastructure, constantly vigilant against threats and championing best-in-class security protocols. Sleeping soundly knowing our platform is secure is a top priority.
Troubleshooting Tactician: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues with precision and speed, minimizing downtime and maximizing platform stability.
Tooling Trailblazer: Evaluate, experiment with, and integrate cutting-edge DevOps tools and technologies to continuously elevate our operational capabilities.
Collaboration Catalyst: Work closely with our talented engineering teams, offering insights, advocating for operational best practices, and ensuring a smooth journey from development to deployment.
Documentation Dynamo: Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our infrastructure, systems, and processes, empowering knowledge sharing and future scalability.
What We're Looking For
A Seasoned Sculptor of Infrastructure: You have a proven track record (X+ years) in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role, ideally in a high-growth, high-performance environment.
Cloud Commander: Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure – particularly fond of AWS) and their suite of services for compute, storage, networking, and security.
Orchestration Virtuoso: Deep expertise with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their orchestration for global-scale deployments.
Coding Chameleon: Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) for automation and system management.
Infrastructure-as-Code Artisan: You live and breathe Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools, building infrastructure with precision and repeatability.
Monitoring Maven: Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog) to keep a watchful eye on system health.
Networking Ninja: A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
Linux Luminary: Expert-level administration skills in Linux environments.
Problem-Solver Extraordinaire: You possess a relentless drive to understand and solve complex technical challenges with elegant and robust solutions.
Communication Catalyst: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
