About This Role
Join a team of blockchain pioneers—including original architects of the Diem blockchain—who are building the backbone of a fairer, more scalable web3 economy. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance engineering and decentralized finance, giving you the chance to shape trading products that will serve millions of users across the Aptos ecosystem. You'll work alongside world-class engineers solving problems that don't have textbook answers yet.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and build robust trading systems that interact seamlessly with smart contracts on the Aptos blockchain
Develop low-latency, high-throughput infrastructure to support DeFi trading products at scale
Collaborate cross-functionally with protocol engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that redefine decentralized trading
Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code for mission-critical crypto trading systems
Debug and optimize distributed systems to ensure reliability under real-world market conditions
Contribute to architectural decisions that influence the future of the Aptos trading ecosystem
What We're Looking For
Strong software engineering background with experience in building scalable, production-level systems
Proficiency in one or more systems programming languages (Rust, Go, C++, or similar)
Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization
Genuine curiosity about blockchain, crypto markets, and decentralized trading mechanics
Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
Bonus Points
Prior experience with smart contract development or blockchain protocol engineering
Familiarity with trading systems, market microstructure, or financial infrastructure
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or DeFi protocols
Experience with Move, Solidity, or other smart contract languages
